At the very least, they should be scanning for ads which are substantially the same and not allowing them. I understand it's a small (and often free!) operation, but there are solutions. Most people on there are fine, but occasionally you run into unhinged people, and there is no help or recourse. 1 star for what's always been an issue with Craigslist, regardless of platform. Glad they finally put out an official app. Craigslist will always be part of my arsenal and I highly recommend them to everyone and for anything you need in your life. CL keeps it very affordable to the world as well for smaller businesses like mine. The CL apps are very user-friendly and simple to navigate and consistently getting better. Think lotto “you gotta be in it to win it”. I’ve purchased so many amazing deals over the years.

Thank you!īut CL is an important institution, thank you CL staff for the constant work on the app. Your payment for that apartment in Amsterdam to the owner who is in a different country, that’s why it’s allegedly for rent, goes straight into my personal bank account. Rentals are problematic, don’t pay with a credit card ever. Yay details! But the application suffers in rentals and purchases for anything but cash.

But in Europe unfortunately no one uses it, as rental scams and items for sale are often scams. Somehow here in the States there are no scams or fraud going on, CL is fantastically reliable and strong. But somebody would eventually anyway, so it’s a better world for business but a weaker democracy. Wonderful improvement in our lives, although I miss newspaper journalism that CL helped kill by eliminating print ad sales. CL is where I hire employees, find rentals, buy washing machines and sell tools.
